IT and Textiles Minister KT Rama Rao yesterday said that separate corporations will be set up for handloom and power loom in the state. 

He vowed to empower weavers and handloom workers in Telangana with more welfare schemes. Talking to reporters at Siddipet here the minister said that the government allotted Rs 1200 cr for the weavers in the last budget will give more now. We are



offering subsidy on yarn, machinery and others for the benefit of the sector he said.

TRS MP Kavitha who is honorary president of Singareni Collieries workers Association  yesterday announced a panel for it. The state panel will be headed by B Venkat Rao as president, M Raji Reddy as general secretary and B Sampath Kumar and A Srinivas were appointed vice presidents.
