Hyderabad: K T Rama Rao, Minister of Telangana Municipal Administration, made the claim on Thursday that the BJP-led NDA government had a hostile attitude toward the State government when it began work on the strategic road development programme (SRDP) on defense lands in Secunderabad.

During Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, he was asked about how to solve traffic problems from Secunderabad to Bowenpally and other parts of the city if the defense authorities don't let SRDP work in defense lands. He said

that the federal government isn't willing to help, even though the state government has been working with the federal government for eight and a half years to solve defense land issues for building flyovers.

“Despite the fact that the government supports the construction of a skyway similar to the P V Narasimha Rao Expressway in the city from Patny to Suchitra, we have attempted this several times in Delhi, but the Central government is unwilling to cooperate. He said, "This is not only shameful but also painful."
