Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao would inspect several developmental works pertaining to the Old City on Friday. The Charminar pedestrian project, the pending works and land acquisitions on Outer Ring road, Internal Ring road and several others roads are in his list.
There are 389 properties affected under the Outer Ring road of which 372 has been acquired and 17 properties are under court cases from Darushifa, Mir Momin Daira, Chandulal Bela, Himmathpura, Khilwath, Shad Café, City College, Chaderghat, Salarjung Museum road up to Dar ul shifa. After widening, this road would be available for Outer Ring road and heavy vehicles
would ply here.
Besides, there are 254 properties affected under the Inner Ring road of which 242 have been acquired and 12 properties are under court cases. The areas covered would be Gulzar Houz, Panjeshah, Moghalpura, Motigalli, Chowk, Mitti ka sher road, etc.
After widening, this road would be available to ease traffic around the Charminar. 12 properties' cases are still pending in the High Court under the land acquisition proceedings. The minister would also visit internal roads connecting Mecca Masjid to Julukhana market, Lal Bazar to Mitti ka sher and Charkaman Temple to Agra Hotel and would inspect statues of several parking complexes here.
