Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao will be inaugurating 120 double bedroom houses at Baghlingampally besides laying the foundation for a bus terminal at Hayathnagar and other development works in the city on Saturday.

Under the Musheerabad constituency limits, the Minister will inaugurate a couple of projects and lay the foundation for development works with a total worth of Rs 28.38 crore. These include 120 double bedroom houses at Baghlingampally taken up at a cost of Rs 10.90 crore and a multipurpose sports complex at Adikmet costing Rs 3.50 crore.

In addition to these, the Minister will be laying the foundation for the construction of offices of the Zonal Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners at Domalguda and the construction of a model market at Narayanguda at a cost of Rs 4 crore.

All these works are taken up by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). These apart, the MA and UD Minister will be laying the foundation for a bus terminal at the Harini

Vanasthali National Park, Hayathanagar which is being taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore.

The development of this terminal is being planned in two phases. In the first phase, two bus bays will be coming up and the remaining three will be constructed in the second phase. Most of the district buses heading towards Vijayawada are being stopped at LB Nagar junction, which is resulting in traffic chaos in the area even late in the night.

To address the issue, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is constructing the terminal equipped with parking for two wheelers and four wheelers, passenger lounges, AC waiting halls, food courts and other facilities.

In addition to these works, the Minister will inaugurate two water reservoirs at Vasavinagar, Kothapet. Each reservoir is constructed with a capacity of 2.5 million litres each. The twin reservoirs were constructed at a cost of Rs 9.42 crore and will benefit nearly 88,000 residents.
