Minister KT Rama Rao will now embark on a similar mission to Japan and South
Korea beginning January 17.
Rao, along with the Industries Department officials,
will be pushing for Japanese investments in Pharma City, Textile Park and
Plastic Park.The week-long trip would include meetings with top-notch Japanese
industrialists and bureaucrats. The Minister will highlight the TS-iPASS and
other
reforms brought in the industrial sector after the formation of the new
State. A few Japanese companies have already entered into Memorandum of Understanding
with neighbouring Andhra Pradesh to develop solar energy system and in other
industries.
The five-member delegation is also scheduled to visit
South Korea. Rao will explain the advantages that Telangana has and its
emergence as an investment destination in the country.
