Information Technology and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao will tour Kagaznagar town and participate in several programmes to be organised in view of the revival of the sick Sirpur Paper Mills (SPM) Limited on August 2. Elaborate arrangements are being made ahead of his visit.
According to Koneru Konappa, Sirpur (T) legislator, Rama Rao would take part in special prayers to be performed for reviving the paper manufacturing company. The Minister will formally inaugurate several developmental works, including a bridge built across a
stream in Chintaguda village, on the outskirts of the town and then Mission Bhagiratha.
The legislator said that the Minister would address a public meeting to be held at SPM grounds as the long-awaited reopening of the factory became a reality. “KTR will be felicitated for playing a vital role in reviving the integrated pulp and paper mill, closed down in 2014. He will be taken from a helipad being arranged in Sirsilk Colony of the town to the venue in a massive procession,” he explained.
