Municipal Administration Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Sunday reiterated his displeasure over lack of financial support from the Central government for the State government programmes.

He remarked that mere lip sympathy from the Central government authorities for a performing State like Telangana was not expected.The Minister was responding on Twitter to reports on the members of 15th Finance Commission praising the Kaleshwaram project and Mission Bhagiratha during the



latter’s visit to project sites on Saturday.

“Glad about the lavish praise for Telangana Govt programmes by various Union Ministers and Secretaries but unfortunately not much following in the form of financial support for the same (sic),” he said. Further, he wanted the Centre to provide adequate funds for the State projects.

Rao has been vocal in expressing displeasure over the budget allocations to the State from the Centre.
