Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday urged people to visit one of the many urban forest parks developed by the State government and enjoy the magic of monsoon amidst lush green surroundings of the parks. “From educational tours to family outings, these parks have a lot to offer,” Rama Rao said.
In a series of tweets, Rama Rao said as part of Harita Haram programme, the Telangana government was developing beautiful urban forest parks. He also provided location maps of each of the park he tweeted about.
Rama Rao talked about how the Mayuri Harita Vanam, located near Jadcherla, is one of the largest such parks
and is known for its adventure sports, a butterfly park and also has rose and herbal gardens as well as a ‘Currency’ park.
The TRS working president talked about Gandhari Vanam in Mancherial district, Bhagyanagar Nandanavanam near Ghatkesar, and the Palapitta Cycling Park located in the heart of the IT corridor in Hyderabad and India’s first and exclusive park for cycling.
Among the other urban forest parks Rama Rao urged people to visit are Shanti Vanam at Medipally, Kandlakoya Oxygen Park which also has a tree house, Prasanthi Vanam Park at Dulapally and Panchavati Forest Park in Shamshabad.
