The Minister said that the Hyderabad Pharma City (HPC) is the world’s largest Integrated Pharma Park to promote domestic manufacturing of pharmaceuticals in line with the Union

government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and also consolidate leadership position of India in the global pharmaceutical sector. “Telangana government reassures its commitment towards development of a world-class Hyderabad Pharma City and promoting competitive domestic manufacturing of pharmaceuticals under the ‘Make in India’ initiative,” he added.

The Hyderabad Pharma City project has been integrated as a priority node of proposed Hyderabad-Warangal Industrial Corridor project and a feasibility study for the same also has been completed as per guidelines. The Central government has already recognised Hyderabad Pharma City project as a project of national importance and accorded in-principle approval as a ‘National Investment and Manufacturing Zone’ (NIMZ), the Minister pointed out in his letter.
