Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao on Friday urged TRS party cadres to concentrate on improving polling percentage in the coming Assembly elections and said the Assembly election voting will have an impact on local bodies as well as Parliament elections. He was addressing Rajanna Siricilla district party leaders as part of election preparations which was attended by Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, government advisor G Vivekananda and Karimnagar ZP Chairman Tula Uma.

Rama Rao said the party cadre should ensure that the voting percentage in Assembly elections are in line with local body elections and everyone must work hard for this. “The developmental works carried out in Rajanna Siricilla district will become a role model for the entire State,” he said, adding that he will be happy about the development only after completion of underground drainage works which were under



progress. 

“I will be happy once the underground drainage works are completed in Siricilla constituency,” he said, adding that developmental plans worth Rs 200 crore were under process. Congress leaders, however, were blind to the developmental works taken up in Siricilla Assembly constituency. he said.

The Minister said CC roads were completed in the entire constituency besides constructing indoor and outdoor stadiums on par with international standards. “TRS has the right to ask for votes as people are witnessing the development in the past four years,” he said, exuding confidence that the party will form the government again. The Minister said there was no silent revolution as claimed by Congress leaders in the State. Congress leaders from Nalgonda district were under tremendous pressure as their vote bank was dropping drastically day by day, he added.
