Justice L Narasimha Reddy who retired as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court in July 2015 was appointed as the chancellor of the University of Hyderabad (UoH), on Wednesday, by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind who is also the Visitor of the University.

According to a press release issued by the university, Justice Narasimha Reddy succeeds Dr C Rangarajan and has been appointed for a period of three years as chancellor of



UoH. He is also the Chairman of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).

“Justice Reddy who took a degree in law and a Masters in International Law, from Osmania University in Hyderabad, served as a Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, between 2001 and 2015. He was subsequently appointed Chief Justice of the Patna High Court; a post he held for just under 6 months,” read the press release.
