Labour Minister, Ch Malla Reddy along with Mayor Bonthu Rammohan inaugurated the beautification works at Ambedkar Statue junction, Uppal crossroads, which were taken-up by GHMC at a cost of Rs 28 lakhs, on Tuesday.
At present, GHMC has taken-up junction improvement works at 15 different locations out of which already works at ten junctions have been completed. Similarly, beatification works will be taken up opposite to Secunderabad Railway Station, Bhoiguda, Mallapur, KBR Park, Aramghar crossroads, Bonthu Rammohan said.
Earlier, Mayor along with Labour Minister and other elected representatives inspected the proposed 150 feet road project with four lanes from Nagole Metro
station via STP along the Musi Nala up to Ali Café, Amberpet.
Government is focusing on developing road infrastructure and providing basic amenities to the citizens, making Hyderabad one of the best cities in the world, said Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy.
Besides laying 7.5 km of new road along the Musi nala, construction of box drain is also proposed, he said and instructed the officials to take up mass tree plantation and other development works accordingly.
The proposed 150 feet wide road will benefit the commuters from Uppal, Nagole going towards Amberpet, Moosarambagh and Dilsukhnagar.
