Law against to curb eve-teasing in state soon

To curb eve-teasing menace in the state, Telangana police have proposed an Anti Eve Teasing Act.Speaking at a round table discussion on women's safety organised by the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) in Hyderabad, director general of police, Anurag Sharma and the Additional CP (crimes), Hyderabad, Swati Lakra, informed the participants that the state police



have made a draft proposal on the subject of `AntiEve Teasing' and sent it to ministry of home affairs for their nod.

“We are likely to get a nod in next couple of months. The entire purpose of the proposal was to raise the existing paltry fine amount to a minimum of `10,000 to `15,000,“ the DGP said.
