The leopard which was caught at Water and Land Management Training and Research Institute (WALAMTARI), Rajendranagar on the city outskirts in the early hours of Sunday was shifted to Nehru Zoological Park.

The zoo said the big cat was relocated to its premises and kept in the veterinary hospital for observation. The male leopard has



some minor abrasions and injuries on the face and the zoo veterinarians attended to them.

After complete screening and recovery, the leopard will be released into the wild in next few days after obtaining required permissions from the Chief Wildlife Warden, the zoo officials said.
