Some parts of Hyderabad reported light rainfall and drizzle on Monday, both in the morning and afternoon, while different parts of the State received moderate to heavy rainfall.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), areas such as Patancheru, BHEL and Serilingampally received light rainfall. Following the cloudy weather conditions, temperatures also dropped across the city.
Elsewhere in the State, parts of Nagarkurnool, Ranga Rreddy, Vikarabad, Kumaram Bheem and Mahabubnagar recorded good amount of rainfall. Till
4 pm, Veldanda mandal of Nagarkunrool received a rainfall of 45.8 mm.
The Regional Meteorological Centre, Hyderabad attributed the prevailing weather conditions to wind discontinuity from South Interior Karnataka to west Vidarbha across North Interior Karnataka and the cyclonic circulation over Marathawada. The Met Department also issued a weather warning that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) were very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana over the next three days.
