Yes, honesty is still alive. Proving this, a youngster in the city didn’t think twice when he came across bundles of currency on the road and promptly handed it over to the cops.

Muddam Satish Yadav, a lineman with the TSSPDCL, was walking down in Lallaguda on Monday morning. As he was crossing the Ayyappa Swamy temple, a two-wheeler, zoomed past him and a distance away, a cover dropped from

the vehicle. The motorist didn’t notice this and drove away despite Satish trying to alert by shouting at him.

Satish Yadav then checked the cover which was torn to a side and contained cash totaling to Rs.2 lakh. The honest youngster immediately took it and walked down to the Lallaguda police station, handed it over to the Station House Officer and explained the circumstance.
