LRS applicants gets relief

In a big relief to those layout regularisation scheme (LRS) applicants who have paid full amount within the stipulated period, municipal administration department has decided to issue proceedings for them. Municipal administration department principal secretary Arvind Kumar said there were 1,440 cases where total penal amount was paid by the



applicants. HMDA had received 1,61,693 applications. Of them, 91,658 applications were approved, while 58,052 petitions rejected. In respect of 1,440 cases, though the applicants paid the full amount, the proceedings could not be released so far as the LRS scheme was closed by October 31, 2018.
