The regularisation charges are now 20% of the market value of the plot at the time of registration upto 3,000 per sq yard.
The charges are 30%, if the plot price is between 3,001 per sq yard to 5,000 per sq yard

The State government has decided to collect regularisation fee based on the land value at the time of registration by the applicant instead of the current registration value. The decision comes as a boon to thousands of poor and middle-class citizens who purchased lands several years ago and are required to get them regularised now.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao made the announcement in the State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday and said that a fresh Government Order will be issued on Thursday amending the GO 131 issued earlier. The State government took the decision in the wake of increasing requests from general public.
We have always been considerate to the poor and middle-class denizens of the State. The fresh decision will ease burden on them while regularising their lands,” he said.

The State government recently issued GO 131 to

implement LRS as a one last time measure in all urban and rural areas of the State, to put an end to the unauthorised layouts in the State. The move came after the State government decided to ban registration of plots purchased in unauthorised layouts hereafter to ensure planned and sustainable development.

About 1.36 lakh applications have been filed across all the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) including GHMC as on September 15, with the government earning over Rs 13.84 crore from the advance amounts paid by the applicants. While 32,911 applications were filed in municipal corporations, 56,724 applications were filed in municipalities and 46,706 applications in gram panchayats.

The last date for submission of applications was extended to October 15 a couple of days ago. Only layouts and plots with registered sale deed/title deed existing as on August 26 this year, will be considered for regularisation on payment of prescribed charges. The applicants were instructed to pay registration fee of Rs 1,000 in case of individuals and Rs 10,000 in case of layout developers. Upon getting approved, the applicants should pay all the prescribed charges before January 31, 2021.
