Former Speaker of Telangana State Legislative Assembly S Madhusudhana Chary has been nominated as the member of Telangana State Legislative Assembly under the Governor’s quota. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan issued the appointment orders, approving the State Cabinet’s recommendation in this regard.

After the term of M Sreenivas Reddy nominated under the Governor’s quota expired on June 16 this year, the Cabinet had recommended the name of TRS leader Padi Kaushik Reddy as his replacement. However, the Governor held back the file.

Recently, Kaushik Reddy contested as TRS candidate to the MLC seat under MLAs’ quota and won the election.

Subsequently, the Cabinet recommended the name of Madhusudhana Chary for the MLC seat under Governor’s quota.
In a statement, Madhusudhana Chary thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for giving him another opportunity to serve the people of Telangana State and vowed to take forward the welfare and development programmes of the State government into public.
