People in Telangana can now book online tickets 30 days in advance with TSRTC introducing T-Wallet application.
Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy yesterday launched the new facility for the people of the state who can now book their tickets online from mobile phones. Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma, ED Purushotham Naik and other officials were present. The Minister said that the TSRTC is completely using technologies for offering smooth and speedy services and will start Warangal -Pune services soon. Reddy said that just like flight tickets, the people can book tickets from their homes and make a hassle free travel.
Right now we
have 13000 seats for online services and the RTC gets Rs 62 lakhs a day by online booking of 6000 seats, he said. T Wallet will bring complete services online for the benefit of the passengers, the minister said. He also said that 900 inter-state services will get the new facility to cover 1770 long distance places for the passengers. He said that 100 more buses will be operated to AP in addition to 700 services plying and they will press in more services to other states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Goa and others. Vajra services increased as there is good response from Warangal and Nizamabad districts, he said.
