CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka calling upon public representatives and people to attend the meeting of AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, where he would unveil the party’s SC Declaration, at Chevella on Saturday. Bhatti said that Kharge would explain the failures of the BRS which had impacted Dalits and tribals.
Kharge would announce the Congress’ plans to provide basic needs to the people of SC and ST communities in Telangana, Bhatti told mediapersons.
Bhatti said that AICC leader Sonia Gandhi had formed Telangana state keeping in mind of issues of employment, funds, and irrigation water. After the BRS came to power, Chief
Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had looted Telangana and its resources for nine years, Bhatti alleged.
"When the Congress was in power, it initiated the Pranahita-Chevella project at Rs 35,000 crore to provide water through lift irrigation to Parigi, Tandur, Chevella and Vikarabad for agriculture. The BRS redesigned it as Kaleswaram and looted lakhs of crore of rupees," the CLP leader alleged.
Bhatti said the Congress had provided houses and land to eligible persons. The BRS government took back 22 lakh acres of assigned land from Dalits and tribals and sold it to corporate, he alleged.
