The Rachakonda police arrested a driver for allegedly transporting ganja at Chotuppal on Sunday and seized 102 kilogram of the weed from his vehicle.
According to the police, the arrested person Nakul Kailash Gaikawad (36), a native of Maharashtra went to Anakapalli district in Andhra Pradesh and purchased 102 kilograms of ganja packed in 51 covers from Veerababu of Alluri Seetharam district.
On instruction
of Settu, of Uttar Pradesh, Kailash was on way to deliver it to some person in Maharashtra when on information the Rachakonda police caught him at Chotuppal.
The police said that Kailash to hoodwink the police had changed the registration number plate of his vehicle on the way to Hyderabad from A.P. The police seized 102 kilograms of ganja, Suzuki Dzire vehicle and cash Rs 2,000 from him.
