Hyderabad: In what appears to be a fatal road rage incident, a youngster died after being attacked by four others, who used their bare hands to punch him on the face and head repeatedly after an argument.
The incident, which happened in the Krishna Nagar area of Jubilee Hills in the wee hours of Friday sent shock waves in the region after the youngster, identified as Sudheer Kumar, was declared brought dead at hospital.
Police suspect an argument over his bike brushing against another bike coming from the opposite direction led to the argument and subsequently, the murder.
According to the Jubilee Hills police, Sudheer Kumar,
a private employee and a resident of Erragadda along with his friend Dhanraj went to a wine shop in Krishna Nagar late night on Thursday. However, as both did not have enough cash with them, Sudheer left Dhanraj at the shop and was on his way back.
“He was driving his bike in the wrong direction, about 100 metres away from the wine shop. Four youngsters on two bikes were coming in the opposite direction and he is believed to have accidentally hit one of them. Following a heated argument, they attacked Sudheer with hard punches on his head and face,” police said, adding he was shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
