Man climbs over lion enclosure walls in Hyderabad Zoo

A man risked his life by crossing over the fence to sit on the boulders along the moat surrounding the African Lion enclosure in the Hyderabad Nehru Zoo on Tuesday.

The man, who sat for some time precariously on the edge of the boulders even as a lion prowled around looking at him from below, finally walked back along the boulders to the Zoo staff, who caught him and handed him over to the



Bahadurpura police.

The man was identified as G Sai Kumar (31), police said, adding that according to Zoo authorities, he had walked along the boulders after jumping over the moat wall from the rear side of the enclosure.

A case has been registered following a complaint from Zoo authorities. The police have informed the man’s relatives as well. Further investigation is on.
