Man gets 30 years jail in sexual assault case

A 31-year-old man who sexually assaulted his stepdaughter was sentenced to 30 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 15,000 was imposed on him.

The victim, a minor, was awarded a compensation of Rs 5 lakh. She was staying along with her mother, who had married Gulzar Ali after getting separated from her



first husband.

The man sexually assaulted the nine year- old in the absence of her mother.

The child informed her mother, who lodged a complaint. The police arrested Gulzar Ali. After the trail, the court convicted and sentenced him.
