Tension prevailed for a while at Chaderghat when a man climbed atop a building and threatened to jump on Saturday.

A native of Armoor mandal in Nizamabad district, the man alleged that local BJP functionaries were harassing the public on some or the other pretext. He wanted the police to help him meet Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as he was taking up various schemes for the

welfare of the public and was confident he would help him.

The man had got atop the five-storied building, which was under construction, and shouted, attracting a huge crowd that resulted in a traffic jam.

On information, the Mirchowk police reached the place and convinced him to get down. He was taken to the police station.
