Martyr Santosh's wife appointed Deputy Collector

Santhoshi, wife of martyred Colonel Santosh Babu, was appointed to the post of Deputy Collector (Group-I) on Wednesday. As promised, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao handed over the appointment order to her at Pragathi Bhavan here and directed the authorities concerned to give her posting in Hyderabad or its surrounding areas.

The Chief Minister, who had invited Santoshi along with her family members for lunch at Pragathi Bhavan, instructed CMO Secretary Smita Sabharwal to guide and mentor Santoshi till she completes her training and settles down in her new job. 

About 20 members of Colonel Santosh Babu visited Pragathi Bhavan and interacted with the Chief Minister who in turn inquired about their well-being. He



assured the family that the government will always led support to them. Later, they had lunch together.

Ministers G Jagadish Reddy, V Prashant Reddy, S Niranjan Reddy, Nalgonda MP Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, MLAs Gyaderi Kishore, Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, Chirumarthi Lingaiah, Saidireddy, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Deepika Yugandhar Rao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP M Mahender Reddy, Government Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma and others were also present.

Earlier, Hyderabad District Collector Swetha Mohanty handed over the documents of a plot measuring 711 sq.yards to the family of the martyred Colonel. The plot is located opposite KBR Park on Road No 14 in Banjara Hills.
