Operations of Metro Rail on the Miyapur-SR Nagar (11 km) of corridor-I and Nagole-Begumpet (16 km) of corridor-III would commence around mid-year, said the Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director, NVS Reddy.
Delivering a lecture at the Institute of Management Technology here on Friday, Reddy explained the salient features of the project and said the operations on these two corridors
covering the entire 56 km would commence this year itself. Operations on Corridor II would be extended up to MGBS during the middle of next year, he said.
The Metro Rail was equipped with sophisticated signalling and train control system, remote operation of trains from the computerised operating control centre (OCC), commuter friendly amenities and security features, Reddy added.
