Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited MD N.V.S. Reddy on Sunday said that passengers can hit the emergency alarm while travelling in a Metro rail for any medical emergency and the train operator will advise the next station staff to assist the passenger needing medical attention by providing first aid and also arranging an ambulance for shifting the passenger to the nearest hospital.
Mr Reddy said all
the Metro trains are equipped with first aid kits in both the driver cabins. He said, if an ambulance is called, train will be stopped at that station for a longer time, till the patient is safely disembarked from the train. “All Metro stations are equipped with first aid rooms which have stretchers, wheelchairs, fire blankets, white bed sheets,” he added.
