Milad-un-Nabi to be celebrated on December 2

The Hyderabad Ruyat-E-Hilal Committee held a meeting at its Moazzam Jahi Market office on Monday and declared that the moon of the Islamic month Rabbi-ul-Awwal has been sighted on Monday. Thus, Milad-un-Nabi would fall on December 2, Saturday.

A festive atmosphere takes



over the city on the day as processions and bike rallies head towards Charminar to mark the occasion.Every year, more than one lakh people participate in the Milad rally. This year, a massive procession will also be taken out by the Sunni United Forum (SUFI) on Dec 2.
