Mild tension prevailed at Jangammet on Sunday when some persons objected to reconstruction of a place of prayer.
According to the local police, the management was taking up reconstruction of premises after demolishing the old prayer hall. On noticing it, some persons belonging to another community objected alleging that the management was extending the construction into an adjacent government land parcel.

information, the Chatrinaka police reached the spot and informed the GHMC officials about it. A team of officials from the GHMC reached the spot and inspected the premises. The officials will conduct a thorough inspection of the records and the spot on Monday, a senior police official said.
As a precautionary measure additional police force were deployed at the spot and neighbouring area.
