Million March to be held on Dec 28

The Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (JAC) against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizenship (NRC) which planned a ‘Million March’ on Saturday (December 28) intensified its campaign to increase the public participation.

The JAC is organising street corner meeting across the State to encourage more people to participate in the Million March protest. Mohd Mustaq Malik, the



convenor of the JAC, said around 40 organisations have come together and formed the JAC to lead a public movement against the CAA and NRC.

“Already meetings are underway with various organisations to plan a peaceful protest rally to Necklace Road on Saturday. We have applied for police permission for organising a programme ten days ago and are hopeful of getting it,” he said.
