The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) floor leader in Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi has  claimed that the party has created assets worth more than Rs.5,000 crore for the Muslim community.   Addressing the 58th formation day of AIMIM at Darussalaam here on wednesday, Owaisi said that educational and other institutions set up by the MIM were spread across 23.02 lakh sq.ft.  The Darrussalaam Education Trust provides nearly 11,000 jobs including 4,500 direct jobs.  The Deccan Medical College has so far produced more than 3,000 doctors.   He said that these benefits would ensure the educational and economic development of the community.
Recalling numerous achievements under the leadership of Asaduddin Owaisi, Akbaruddin Owaisi said Muslims should get equal rights on par with the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes.
He

said during the recent meeting with CM K.Chandrasekhar Rao, the MIM leaders have proposed a one-time payment of financial assistance of Rs.25,000 each to all small vendors and the Chief Minister has assured to them to consider this proposal seriously.
The MIM leader expressed concern over the drop in polling percentage in the recently concluded GHMC elections.  Describing it as a sign of weakness of MIM, he said that the party has  been fighting  for the cause of Muslim community on the basis of votes that it gets from the community.  He appealed to the community to vote in large numbers to strengthen the MIM and prevent its enemies from becoming stronger.
Earlier, Akbaruddin Owaisi hoisted the party flag at Darrussalaam.  MIM legislators, corporators and hundreds of workers attended the formation day celebrations.
