MIM gets permission to celebrate Youm-ul-Quran at Makkah Masjid on Friday

Hyderabad: Special Chief Secretary incharge of Department of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Ajay Mishra issued orders giving permission to MIM for holding a meeting from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Makkah Masjid to celebrate “Youm-ul-Quran” on the occasion of “Juma tul vida” with a condition that only two sound boxes should be used inside the premises of Makkah Masjid.

The letter also mentions that since it is a purely religious function and hence it cannot be used for any political



activity.

It may be mentioned that government did not give permission to address the gatherings on the occasions of three Fridays of Ramadan on account of promulgation of Model Code of Conduct.

Dy. Commission of Police (South Zone) and Director of Minorities Welfare have been requested to make necessary arrangements.

Govt. accorded this permission on the representation made by MIM MLA of Yakutpura Constituency recommended by Director of Minorities Welfare.
