Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has stated that he will brief leaders from Backward Classes (BC) associations about the caste survey. Speaking to the media in Karimnagar on Friday, he emphasised that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has advocated for a nationwide caste survey. He questioned, "Should we remain passive if there is injustice to the backward classes?"
Prabhakar criticised BRS leaders for not participating in the survey and for mocking the concept of a caste survey. He asserted, "Those who have participated in the survey have the right to speak on the caste survey." He further announced that his party is prepared to allocate 42 per cent of electoral seats to BC candidates and demanded that BRS

leaders apologise to the BC community.

He encouraged anyone who finds errors in the survey process to bring them to his attention, stating, "If there are any mistakes, bring them to my notice." The minister highlighted that the survey's findings would be instrumental in shaping sub-plans and welfare measures. He noted the long-standing demand for a caste census since India's independence, and claimed that his government had successfully completed this survey, which had been pending for decades. He also criticised the BJP for submitting an affidavit against the caste census, accusing the party of having a "feudalistic attitude."
