The panchayat raj minister, D. Seethakka, visited Sant Sevalal Maharaj in Kompelli on Wednesday and offered prayers. Speaking on the occasion, the minister highlighted Sevalal Maharaj's role as a social reformer who overcame many obstacles. She noted that even after nearly 200 years, Sevalal Maharaj continues to be revered as divine.
The minister emphasised the
importance of adopting Sevalal Maharaj's teachings, which promote non-violence, abstinence from alcohol to prevent disasters, and respect for women. She announced that the state government would work towards officially commemorating Maharaj Jayanti. Sevalal Maharaj's teachings are crucial in combating social ills and shaping the future generation.
