Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Sunday laid the foundation for construction of a Jain Bhavan in Uppal Bhagayat. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had allotted two acres of government land valued at nearly Rs 100 crore exclusively for the Jain community.
The Telangana government was the only one in the country, which celebrates Id-ul-Fitr, Christmas and Hindu festivals officially. It stands out as a role model in religious tolerance and communal harmony, the minister
said.
He noted that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had allocated costly land to all castes for construction of self-respect buildings. Rao had exempted land lease for Mahavir Hospital in Masab Tank being run by Jain community.
Srinivas Yadav dared Union minister G. Kishan Reddy to explain the developmental activities he had undertaken in Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency, which he represents.
