Minister for Municipal Administration and IT, KT Rama Rao instructed officials to educate people about the importance of safe drinking water. It was the responsibility of administration to educate people that drinking water supplied through Mission Bhagiratha was safer than bottled water, he said.

Officials should drink water supplied through Mission Bhagiratha in the presence of people to develop confidence among the public, Rama Rao said during a review meeting with officials in Sircilla on Wednesday. Rama Rao informed that so far, 99 per cent of project works had been completed in the district.

Later, the Minister examined 30-day Action Plan works in Mandepalli of



Thangallapalli mandal. He appreciated public representatives, government officials and public, for successfully implementing 30-day Action plan.

He instructed officials to make necessary arrangements to plant saplings from Upper Manair to Mid Manair reservoir region. He asked officials to plant trees on the bunds of Mission Kakatiya tanks.

Rama Rao told officials to prepare a plan, work to maintain sanitation and increase greenery in villages. Taking inspiration from 30-day Action Plan, villagers should prepare annual plan and take steps to implement it. Every month, a week should be allocated to take up sanitation works, he added.
