An Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court has sent the three accused in Telangana’s Moinabad farmhouse case to jail till November 11. They will be shifted to the Chanchalguda jail.
The Cyberabad Police, while producing three people for their alleged involvement in the Telangana MLAs poaching case, stated that the legislators were lured to destabilise the state government. However, Telangana's Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court had rejected the request to remand the three accused in judicial custody and ordered their release.
The accused, Ramachandra Bharati, Nanda Kumar and Simhayaji Swamy, were released by police on Thursday following orders of the court. Police had arrested the three men at the farmhouse in Ranga Reddy on
Wednesday evening, after being informed by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs about the poaching bid, which the leaders alleged was done by the BJP.
According to police, attempts were made to poach BRS MLAs Pilot Rohith Reddy, Rega Kantharao, Guvvala Balaraju and Beeram Harshavardhan with cash, cheques and contracts.
Meanwhile, an alleged phone conversation between accused Swamji and TRS leader Rohith Reddy, has also added a fresh twist to the MLA poaching row.
Cyberabad Police, in their remand report before the court, stated that there were hidden cameras and two voice recorders in BRS MLA Rohith Reddy's kurta. The other three MLAs arrived at Reddy's Moinabad farmhouse to help him, the police said.
