MLC K. Kavitha stated that the people who worship lord Hanuman will always prosper with His grace and that is why Sri Anjaneya Swamy temples are present in every village in Telangana state. She visited Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple at Kondagattu in Maliala mandal of Jagtial district on Wednesday.
The MLC participated in Akanda Hanuman Chalisa Parayanam, along with the devotees, being conducted on the temple premises and offered special prayers to the presiding deity.
The Pedda Hanuman Jayanti celebrations will be conducted here on May 14.
The 41-day Chalisa Parayanam is conducted by Kondagattu Anjanna Seva Samithi every year at the shrine since the outbreak of the
coronavirus.
The MLC reminded of the allocation of Rs 500 crore for the development of the Kondagattu temple by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during his recent visit and hundred acres of land to the temple by the government.
Later, K. Kavitha participated in Beerappa Kamarathi Devi Kalyana Mahotsavam held at Beerappa temple in Jagtial town.
Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravi Shankar, Jagtial MLA M. Sanjay Kumar and ZP chairperson D. Vasantha were also present.
Kavitha had been taking rest and recovering from a foot injury for a month after being advised rest by her doctors on April 11.
