MLC polls: Liquor shops to remain closed in Rachakonda limits

In view of the MLC elections to be held on March 14, liquor sale at wine shops, toddy compounds, bars, restaurants, star hotels and registered clubs in Rachakonda Police limits will be prohibited from 4 pm on March 12 to 4 pm on March 14.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat issued an order to this effect



here on Thursday and said liquor sales would be prohibited also from 6 am on March 17, the day of counting until the counting ends, and also on the date of re-poll, if any.

He instructed the police officers at the border areas to keep a strict vigil on the flow of liquor.
