Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said a modern fish market will be constructed at a cost of Rs 5.25 crore at Begum Bazaar under Goshamahal Assembly constituency.

Along with local MLA Raja Singh and GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy and officials, the minister laid foundation for the modern fish market with all modern facilities. He said the works will be completed at the earliest. The GHMC will bear Rs 3 crore and the National Fisheries Development Corporation will contribute Rs



2.25 crore for the fish market. Srinivas Yadav said every trader will get a shop in the market and will provide multi-level parking facility. Similar markets will be built at Secunderabad, LB Nagar and Marredpally.

The minister urged the people to cooperate with the GHMC to provide better facilities. Coming up in 980 sqmt space, the fish market will have cellar parking, ground floor, wholesale, cold storage, retail, processing section and dry fish and canteen, he said.
