Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday came down heavily on the NDA government in the Legislative Assembly.
Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government of turning states into beggars by claiming all powers to itself, he went on to say that the Central government claims to be giving 42 percent highest tax devolution to states but on the other hand cuts down funds Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) drastically which makes the benefit
of higher tax devolution not reach the states and having to bear the additional expenditure on CSS.
Further blaming the NDA government of burdening states with the Uday scheme, KCR said they claimed of making power distribution companies in states debt-free but the debt burden was passed on to the states further mentioning that the Telangana government had to undertake a Rs 9,000 crore debt burden of the discoms under the scheme.
