Telangana Waqf Board chairman Mohammed Saleem, accompanied by Bahadurpura MLA Moazzam Khan and other officials, inspected centuries-old Mir Alam Eidgah to review the arrangements being made for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers.
The Waqf Board officials assured that all facilities will be made available for devotees on the day of Eid, when thousands throng the Masjid to offer prayers.
During the visit, MLA Moazzam Khan urged the Waqf Board officials to ensure that there are no traffic snarls as the devout usually get stuck in massive traffic jams every year. “I request the traffic officials to make sure that people who throng the Eidgah to offer prayers do not face any traffic problems. All vehicular traffic proceeding towards the Eidgah for prayers should be allowed via Puranapul, Kishanbagh, Bahadurpura and Kamatipura like every year,” Khan
said.
Addressing the media after the inspection, Mohammed Saleem asked the officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board and electricity board to complete all the pending works and review arrangements time and again.
I request the officials of all concerned departments to monitor the arrangements from time to time,” Mohammed Saleem said.He also asked the officials to resolve the issue of sound systems, clean water tanks, ensure adequate drinking water is available, take up plantation and beautification of the Eidgah and instructed them to make sure that power backup is available.
