Monsoon to reach Hyderabad by June 2nd week

The much-awaited southwest monsoon is expected to hit Telangana earlier than predicted, thanks to the presence of a cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal called Cyclone Mora, say officials of the India Meteorological Department's Hyderabad

centre.

Under its influence, officials said, the pre-monsoon activity, which is being witnessed over the state, would subside and make way for the southwest monsoon during the initial days of June.
