The Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) is making all efforts to introduce monthly passes after commencing commercial operations on the Ameerpet-Hitec City station stretch.
Patronage for Metro services is increasing by the day, especially on the newly launched Ameerpet-LB Nagar route. On an average, nearly 1.75 lakh passengers are travelling a day on the existing routes of Miyapur-LB Nagar and Nagole- Ameerpet.
Passengers have been demanding introduction of monthly passes, which will facilitate in a few concessions. “All efforts are being made to launch the monthly passes after the launch of services till the Hitec City station,” said HMRL

In addition to this, all measures were being taken into introduce combined pass tickets, which facilitates passengers to travel in Metro, TSRTC city buses and other transport modes as well.
There has been a demand from passengers since long and Metro officials are exploring all possibilities. A survey is being conducted to study different aspects, including financial and it will be done shortly. In all probabilities, the combined pass ticket will be launched in three months, he said, adding that the fares on the Hyderabad Metro were much cheaper compared to other Metros in the country.
