After the formation of Telangana State, better health services were being provided for the people living across the State, asserted Finance Minister Eatala Rajender while inaugurating a free medical camp at B R Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that after the formation of Telangana State, health services like liver and kidney exchange and dialysis treatment along with treatment related to heart diseases, by investing Rs 20 lakh, were included under Arogya Sri.
In olden days people use to work hard and did not suffer with any serious diseases, but the present day people are falling
victims to number of strange diseases due to drastic changes that were taking place in the environment and lack of proper physical work to the people, the Minister pointed out.
For providing better health services to the people living in remote areas, the hospitals present at Huzurabad, Jammikunta and Kamalapur were upgraded by investing Rs 10 crores, he informed.
Arogya Sri Chief Executive Officer Dr Chandrashekar Rao said that in recent times many cases of cancer, heart and kidney related problems are diagnosed. About Rs 250 crores was invested to diagnose and treat these problems successfully.
