Mother Mary Fest held at Shrine Of Our Lady Of Health

The Shrine Of Our Lady Of Health, AC Guards, celebrated Mary’s Fest with a birthday mass and cake cutting at 4 a.m., continuing its special masses since August 29.

Devotes vow to visit the shrine in the run-up to the event on foot, till the day of the festival and take part in the Rosary.

Faithful from across the state and a few outstation locales were also in attendance, with the church erecting a tent for them to spend the day.

The statue of Mother Mary in the church was decorated with flowers, with a



stage set up in the open area and, a palanquin polished and decorated for the procession of Mother Mary around the church premises at midnight.

Following a special vigil mass at 4 a.m., cake cutting took place. The mass was also telecast on Liturgy TV, according to Maria Christina of the church.

"The church has given access to telecast all the masses and the other proceedings for the convenience of the elderly, as they can home and watch everything," Christina said.
