Actress Mumaith Khan will appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the drug racket on July 27. This was confirmed by Prohibition and Excise Enforcement Director Akun Sabharwal on Friday.
Initially, it was stated that Mumaith Khan will not be able to appear before the SIT on the scheduled date since she was tied up with the Big Boss show. It was stated that the actress sought change of the date.
However, the SIT appears to be
determined to complete the questioning by July 27 and insisted on her appearance by that date.
The officials spoke to the show organisers, who after consultations, confirmed to the SIT that Mumaith Khan has been permitted to appear for questioning. The Excise Director told media persons that they have received communication from the show organisers that Mumaith Khan has been permitted to leave the show for one day so that she can appear before the SIT.
