All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Tuesday raised objections over the demolition activities undertaken by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRA) in the wake of the Musi Riverfront development.

A delegation of AIMIM MLAs led by Ahmed Balala Saab, Mubeen Saab, Zulfeqar Saab, and Kausar Mohiuddin submitted their concerns to the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD). The delegation asked for the details regarding the date of the survey, the legal basis under which the survey was conducted, and whether a

preliminary or final notification was issued before the survey to define full tank level (FTL) and buffer zone boundaries.

They further enquired if the survey had been conducted with assistance from the revenue, irrigation, and other pertinent departments. They also questioned whether the boundaries established in 2003 were taken into account prior to the demolition drive. Additionally, the delegation sought clarification on the need for a review.

Earlier on Monday, AIMIM protested at the Bahadurpura Mandal Revenue Office against the demolitions.
